TECHNICAL DESIGN SUPPORT |Â 3D APPAREL SPECIALIST

Following my Technical Design Internship, I was offered a temporary position focusing on 3D Apparel Development using Browzwear. The main goal and expectation of my role was to propel my company forward within this digital suite to meet our collective goal of eliminating a sample from our workflow. During my time in this role, I have designed all of Lands' End's Parametric avatars for virtual prototyping/fittings, stitched 70+ carryover styles for real time design, created virtual quality standards for vendor and internal reference, and continue to train our design and technical design teams to prepare them for upcoming application changes.

Lands' End is best known for there high quality products, award winning customer service, and commitment to getting the product right "Guaranteed. Period." - Gary Comer Founder of Lands' End. Over the course of my Internship I was asked to oversee three major projects to test and strengthen my knowledge of apparel development. Projects included data-driven personalization testing, correcting our sizing standards for greater customer understanding, creating a standard operating procedere for pattern matching and much more. When I wasn't working on projects I assisted specialists in the Color Lab, Textile Innovation department, and Quality Assurance lab.
THE PINK PETAL

The Pink Petal is a local boutique in the heart of Ames that carries clothing and accesories for women between the ages of 35-60. As a Merchandising Intern, my responsibilities include: Displaying products in a eye-catching, unique way, creating flat lays for social media accounts, researching trends in the market to assist in selecting new inventory that customers will enjoy.

Express is a high quality apparel retailer that carries fun, youthful products for women between the ages of 18-30. Due to their commitment in providing top notch customer service, my time there was highly focused on understanding the needs and desires of the customer, creating relationships that encourage them to return to the store for our expertise and assistance. Retail experience, communication, store display, store performance based on conversion rate and ADS are all skills and knowledge learned during my time at Express.
FISCHER STUDIO

Fischer Studios is a vintage apparel boutique in downtown Des Moines that opened in November 2017 by Lori Fischer. Fischer Studios specialized in repurposing second hand clothing and raising awareness of the detrimental  impact that the apparel industry has on our planet. As a start up business, my internship at Fischer Studios was flexible in the sense that I had many roles within the boutique. I assisted in the development of pop-up events and studio activities, enhance social media presence to drive brand awareness, thrifting for new and select inventory for the boutique.
REVIVAL MAGAZINEÂ
FASHION & STYLING ASSISTANT

Revival Magazine is a ISU magazine publication on campus that encapsulates diversity and sustainability. The small community of individuals that work together to produce the magazine each year provide a new and diverse perspective on fashion, life, and relationships through imagery, poems and collages. At Revival, my tasks included visiting thrift stores to select the apparel that would be worn, organizing photo shoot days and maintaing garment quality during shoots, compiling trend research in a mood/trend board to communicate ideas, and working with a budget throughout the process.
